Day 1: Canada – Santiago, Chile

Arrival in Santiago de Chile and transfer from the airport to the hotel. Rest of the day at leisure.

Day 2: Santiago (B, L)

This morning, get to know this interesting city on a half day city tour. In the evening, pleasure your palate to the explosive flavours of Chilean cuisine during a 3-hour folklore show and dinner tour from Santiago.

Sample delicious dishes inspired by the region’s most popular recipes, feasting upon a 3-course meal and enjoy the music and vibrant colour of a Chilean folklore show, with the traditional dances and songs of Chile. Immerse yourself in the Chilean way of life.

Day 3: Santiago-Valparaiso (B)

Today, travel to the Coast and tour the resort of Vina del Mar, the house of Pablo Neruda (except Mondays) and Valparaiso, the most important port of Chile. Return to Santiago.

 

Day 4: Santiago (B, L)

Today, on this half-day tour, we will visit a vineyard located in the lush tranquility of Undurraga Winery. Absorb the verdant beauty of sprawling vineyards. Admire views of the Andes enveloping Maipo Valley and wander through a beautifully landscaped garden.

You will gain insight into the complex production processes of fine wine. Observe soil analysis tests and visit a vinification plant; observe artifacts from indigenous Mapuche cultures; and pleasure your palate with tastings of refined reserve wine.

Enjoy 3 wine tastings from the reserve label. Taste grapes right off the vines from a winery that has won a gold medal from the prestigious International Wine Challenge (IWC) competition.

Breakfast, then a day at leisure to explore on your own.

Day 6: Santiago – Canada (B)

Transfer to the airport for your flight back home or to an on-going destination.
