Day 1: Bogota

Arrival in Bogota and transfer from the airport to the hotel. Enjoy the rest of the day at leisure. Overnight in Bogota.

Day 2: Bogota (B)

In the morning see the capital on a half-day tour of the city including the old district of Candelaria, the Colon Theatre, the Palace of San Carlos, Plaza Bolivar and other important sites. Afterward, visit the Gold Museum and ride the cable car up to the Sanctuary of El Senor Caido de Monserrate. Afternoon free.

Day 3: Bogota (B)

Today enjoy and excursion to Zipaquira and the famous Salt Cathedral. En route visit the town of Cajica, one of the oldest of the colonial period in Colombia.

Day 4:  Bogota – Santa Marta (B, D)

At the appropriate time transfer to the airport for the short flight to Santa Marta at the foot of the mountains on the Caribeban Sea. Upon arrival transfer to your hotel. Balance of the day at leisure.

Day 5: Santa Marta (B, L, D)

This morning tour this picturesque and historic area, with a tour of Santa Marta, including the farm of San Pedro Alejandrino, the customs house and the cathedral, as well as the famous Rodadero Beach and the fishing community of Taganga. 

 

Day 6: Santa Marta (B, L, D)

Day free to enjoy the resort.

Day 7: Santa Marta – Tayrona National Park (B, L, D)

After breakfast transfer to the Tayrona National Park and the unique ecologically designed Ecohabs . The Tayrona Park is a magnificent combination of pristine beaches and mountain forests of the Sierra Nevada, one of the most popular natural attractions of Colombia, and Ecohabs is the perfect base from which to explore the park.

Day 8: Tayrona (B)

Day free to explore Tayrona. Optional “flight-seeing” visits to the Lost City can be arranged.

Day 9: Tayrona (B)

Day free to explore Tayrona. 

​

Day 10: Tayrona – Santa Marta (B)

Transfer to the airport for your flight back home or to an on-going destination.
