12 NIGHTS / 13 DAYS
Day 1: Buenos Aires
Arrival in Buenos Aires International Airport and transfer to the hotel. Overnight in Buenos Aires.
Day 2: Buenos Aires (B)
This morning, take a city tour of Buenos Aires. This will include the Civic Center and the Colon Theatre. You will also travel to the neighbourhoods of San Telmo, La Boca, Palermo and La Recoleta. Enjoy picturesque views, beautiful architecture, and amazing attractions. Afternoon at leisure. Overnight in Buenos Aires.
Day 3: Buenos Aires – El Calafate (B)
Enjoy breakfast before you depart for El Calafate. Arrive and transfer to your chosen hotel. Overnight in El Calafate.
Day 4: El Calafate (B, L)
Today, you will take a full-day Perito Moreno glacier tour where you will be able to see the majestic Argentinian Lake, the Patagonian steppe, and the amazing changing vegetation. Return to hotel and overnight in El Calafate.
Day 5: El Calafate – Ushuaia (B)
Fly to Ushuaia. Arrive and transfer to your hotel. Overnight in Ushuaia.
Day 6: Ushuaia (B)
Today, you will take a half-day Tierro Del Fuego National Park tour. On the way, we will stop in in the Equine Center for panoramic views of the Canal Beagle, the Peninsula Ushuaia and the Archipelagoes Bridges. Then, you will head to the National Park—an area saved for the protection of the Sub Antarctic Forest. You will arrive in the Acigami Lake, and have some time to explore. After, you will visit Lapataia Bay. Return to hotel and overnight in Ushuaia.
Day 7: Ushuaia – Australis Cruise (B, D)
Check-in at San Martin 245, Ushuaia, from 9:00 AM to 4:00PM. The cruise ship will board from 6:00PM to 7:00PM. You will depart for The Uttermost Part of the Earth. You will go through the Beagle Channel and the Straight of Magellan, taking you to Southern Patagonia and Tierra del Fuego.
Day 8: Australis Cruise (Cape Horn – Wulaia Bay) (B, L, D)
Today, sail through the Beagle and Murray channels until you read Cape Horn National Park. Cape Horn is known as the End of the Earth, and it’s the last territory before Antarctica. In the afternoon, you will visit Wulaia Bay, where Charles Darwin landed in 1833.
Day 09: Australis Cruise (Seno Agostini Aguila Glacier) (B, L, D)
In the morning, sail through the desolate Brecknock and Occasion channels, to reach Cockburn Channel in the afternoon. After lunch, we arrive at Chico Sound and disembark in Zodiac boats to explore Alakaluf Fjord. We will learn about the formation of glaciers and their influence in the abrupt geography of the region’s channels.
Day 10: Australis Cruise (Magdalena Island) – Punta Arena (Chile) (B, L)
Early in the morning, we go ashore on Magdelena Island (weather permitting). The island is inhabited by a large colony of Magellanic Penguins, which may be seen on our walk to a lighthouse. (In September and April this excursion is replaced by a Zodiac boat ride at Marta Island to observe sea lions) After your visit, we sail to Punta Arenas. Arrive at the airport and transfer to your chosen hotel. Overnight in Punta Arenas.
Day 11: Punta Arenas –Santiago de Chile (B)
Enjoy breakfast before you board a flight to Santiago de Chile. Arrive at your hotel. Overnight in Santiago de Chile.
Day 12: Santiago de Chile (B)
Today you will take a city tour of Santiago. Visit the Alameda Bernardo O’Higgins, the Plaza de Armas, and the Cathedral. You will get to know the Santa Lucia Hill and go through the Forest Park and the Museum of Fine Arts. Cross the river to Barrio Bellavista, known for its culture and nightlife. You will visit the Metropolitano Park San Cristobal Hill for a panoramic view of the city. Overnight in Santiago.
Day 13: Santiago de Chile (B)
Transfer to the airport for your flight back home or to an on-going destination.
