Day 1: Arrival to Bogota

Arrival in Bogota and transfer from the airport to your hotel. Overnight in Bogota.

Day 2: Visit of Bogota (B)

Enjoy a bicycle tour with a local guide, taking you to all the most authentic locations. You will see the Plaza del Chorro, the markets, the memorial of Gaetan, the national museum and park, and more. Your afternoon is free for your leisure. Overnight in Bogota.

Day 3: Journey to Honda & Manizales (B)

Today, you will travel to Manizales, with a stop in the colonial village of Honda. This village is located on the edge of the Magdalena River. After lunch, you will continue to Manizales and the coffee region. Overnight in Manizales.

Day 4: Gardens of the Finca Romelia – Salento (B)

In the morning, visit the gardens of Finca Romelia. Sheltering more than 800 different varieties of orchids, Jose—the owner—will accompany you through a tour of his gardens. In the afternoon, you will visit a coffee finca, learning about the process of artisanal coffee production. From bean picking to the final product in the coffee plantations, you will learn of all the entire process. Transfer to Salento and enjoy a free evening. Overnight in Salento.

 

Day 5: Cocora Valley (B, L)

After breakfast, you will head to Cocora Valley. 

Following a local guide, you will hike for approximately 3 hours, you will explore the valley and enter the Andean rainforest.Lunch will be in a mirador, a viewpoint with amazing views of the region. In the afternoon, return to Salento for a tour around the village with a local guide. Overnight in Salento.

 

Day 6: Cartagena de Indias (B)

Transfer to Pereira’s airport for your domestic flight to Cartagena. Arrive in Cartagena and transfer to your hotel. In the afernoon, you will travel towards la Boquilla. Upon your arrival, you will take a canoe trip into the mangroves to observe the birds at sunset. Return to Cartagena for overnight.

 

Day 7:  Visit Cartagena (B)

Enjoy a walking tour in the colonial districts of San Diego and Santo Domingo. You will see the Plaza de los Coches, the Gold Museum, the Plaza de Santo Domingo, and all the culture of this colourful and lively town. You may also want to take a salsa lesson! Crazy Salsa, the dance academy, is located in the historic center of Cartagena. With a bar and ambient atmosphere, you’ll have the perfect place to dance and get acquainted with the locals. Overnight in Cartagena.

Day 8: Cartagena (B)

Transfer to the airport for your flight back home or to an on-going destination.
