Day 1: Santiago (B)

Arrival in Santiago de Chile and transfer from the airport to the hotel.

Day 2: Santiago (B)

Enjoy a city tour. You will see the Alameda Bernardo O’Higgins, the Presidential Palace of La Moneda, the Cathedral, and the Santa Lucia Hill. Cross the river to get to Barrio Bellavista (excellent for culture, art, and nightlife). You will have the opportunity to visit the Metropolitano Park San Cristobal Hill for panoramic views of the city. Overnight in Santiago.

Day 3: Santiago (B, L)

Begin the exploration of Chilean wines with a full day tour to the winery of Santa Rita for an explanation of the wine making processes, a tasting of the wines and lunch.

Day 4: Santiago (B, L)

After breakfast, depart on a two-day excursion to the celebrated Colchagua Valley wine region. Upon arrival in Santa Cruz visit two of the principal wineries of the area before an enjoyable lunch at the Hotel Plaza Santa Cruz. 

In the afternoon visit the Colchagua Museum, an excellent private museum that traces development of the area from pre-colombian times. Overnight.

 

Day 5: Colchagua – Vina del Mar (B, L)

This morning visit another of the wineries of the valley, and, after lunch at Santa Cruz Plaza, depart by private car for Vina del Mar on the coast. Upon arrival in Vina del Mar, check in to the selected hotel for three nights including breakfast.

Day 6: Vina del Mar (B)

See the sights of Valparaiso, Chile’s main port, and the resort of Vina del Mar. 

​

Day 7: Vina del Mar (B)

Day free to explore the shops and beaches. 

​

Day 8: Vina del Mar – Departure (B)

Transfer to the airport for your flight back home or to an on-going destination.
